Today I’m going to be sharing with all of you a few scriptures which sum up why I celebrate Christmas. I know that Christmas can mean many things to many different people including myself but ultimately for me it’s about celebrating the birth of my Saviour, Jesus Christ…
Isaiah 9:6 – ‘For to us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government will be on his shoulders and he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’
Luke 2:10-11 – ‘The angle said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savoir has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.’
Galatians 4:4-7 – ‘When the set time had fully come, God sent his son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to son-ship because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father”. So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.’
I hope you all enjoy celebrating this holiday season!
Many blessings, Grace. Xx
