5 Sensitive Skin & Hair Products I Keep Repurchasing

As a girl with super sensitive skin, I’m always on the lookout for products containing clean ingredients that are Yuka-approved. For those who don’t know, Yuka is an awesome app that lets you scan your products to see how clean they are.

So, I thought I’d share with y’all 5 of my favourite personal care products that I’ve repurchased several times over the years.

1. Lush Angels on Bare Skin Face Scrub
This face scrub is a 100% natural cleanser that exfoliates and balances the skin. Its base of ground almonds provides mild exfoliation while the glycerine locks in moisture. The lavender oil and rose soothe and even out the skin tone whilst the kaolin clay deep cleanses without stripping natural oils. I’ve found that my skin feels noticeably softer and clearer with regular use. Whenever I stop using this product, I notice my skin’s oils start to build up, and the texture worsens, literally within a few days.

2. Batiste Dry Shampoo
Batiste Dry Shampoo is my quick fix solution for those in between wash hair days. 🙈 I love how much volume it adds to my hair and the scent too!  Personally, I use the one for dark haired girls, which I love because it prevents that greyish look I used to get with regular dry shampoo.

3. Kérastase Nutritive 8H Magic Night Hair Serum
This overnight serum nourishes dry hair, providing intense hydration and shine that’s noticeable by morning. Its lightweight formula absorbs quickly, leaving your hair soft and revitalised without being weighed down. While it’s recommended that most people use one pump, I personally use three, probably just because I have long hair.  I apply it straight after washing my hair and before putting it in a towel wrap to dry.

4. EFAs (Essential Fatty Acids) Supplements
Essential Fatty Acids, such as Omega 3, 6, and 9, are crucial for maintaining healthy skin, hair, and nails. Supplements like DMK EFA+ provide these nutrients, so incorporating these into my routine has helped improve my skin’s hydration and texture as recommended to me by a skin therapist. And although my skin still isn’t perfect, my struggles with eczema and texture have definitely improved!

5. Gillette Venus Sensitive Razor
The Gillette Venus Sensitive Razor is designed specifically for women with sensitive skin. 🙋🏽 I personally prefer the three blade design over the five blade one, as fewer blades mean less irritation for me. This razor also has a lubricating strip infused with Aloe Vera which provides a smooth glide, reducing friction and protecting sensitive skin. Its also dermatologist tested to ensure its suitable for regular use.

Incorporating all of these products into my regimen has significantly helped with my skin’s sensitivity and flare-ups. I use each product daily or weekly, having repurchased them all several times! Best of all, these are some of the most organic and effective products in these categories that I’ve found for sensitive skin.

What are some of your must have beauty products?  Bonus points if they’re sensitive skin friendly too

Many Blessings, Grace. Xx

  1. Very Nice collection! I also use Batiste Dry Shampoo n it’s just WOW. Must-Have Product for bad hair days

    1. Haha, yep… I definitely use it every week! 😂

  2. Thank you for addressing this, and for your product recommendations. I also have very sensitive skin.
I use Castile liquid soap (diluted with water, and added essential oils) for my shampoo, and then a diluted vinegar rinse. For my body, I rarely use soap; when I do, it’s a coal tar soap that doesn’t irritate my skin.

    1. 🥰 Oh wow. I’ve heard about people using vinegar to rinse their hair but I personally haven’t tried that method yet! Xx

Love this! Murad has a whole sensitive skincare line they sent me and I really love the moisturizer and cleanser!

    1. Oh, I haven’t even heard of that brand before! I’ll have to check them out, thank you. 🥰

  4. One time I stole your dry shampoo, and Dad thought I was wearing perfume, it smelled that good. Alas, I never stole it again because I now know it leaves a remarkable trace.

    1. Ummm… thanks for your confession sis. 😂

  5. I love Batiste dry shampoo too! I have a can right now.

    1. Yes, it’s so good! 🤍

  6. I’m supposed to be working on songs now (12:50 am, in the beautiful, blessed silence when I normally pray and praise God) but I felt Him Nudging me to like binge-read many of your past articles, and am weeping. (I’m near to sobbing at the moment, actually.)

I pray that it’s coz I’m being a dork or having PMS or something but if it’s not (ok, even if it is), I pray pray pray for you today especially, Sister Grace.

    With whatever you’re facing.

For your spiritual giftings and and for your Godly purpose and calling in this life, and your ministry.

For those around you, for those you love–and for those who don’t love you as they might or “should.”

Not just for the pain you’ve earlier mentioned on this very blog, but for the way God Has for you to help, strengthen, and grow others *using* that pain that you’ve experienced and witnessed.

Sending so much love and so many prayers for you now, at 12:53 am in Florida, from your wacky Egyptian psalmist of a sister <3 God With you always :))

PS–oopsie, it's now 12:56 coz I of course had to go back and whoop the Wall of Text format, lol. (I'm not sobbing anymore, I feel much hope. I think my prayers for you helped heal me a bit, too <3 Ok I'll shush now love you sis lol xD

    1. Aww, thank you so much! 😭 I’m so encouraged by what you have shared. The fact that my story whether it be the joyful moments or the many trials can bring so much hope and encouragement to my fellow sisters and brothers in Christ, helps me to continually always hold onto hope… making all the pain feel worth it. 🥹

  7. lol i just realised i thought i was still on the pastry chef one; it would def have made sense for me to sob over beautiful pastries (i’m on a protein diet for now, lol. waaah i neeeed some eclairs! hehe :))) ok *now* i can shush, after lovely forbidden pastries were mentioned, lol. :)))

    1. Haha, good thing I didn’t include too many pictures of those delicious baked good in that post! 🥹
