Well, I’m happy to announce that I am finally a qualified pastry chef! The last update I gave on this journey was in early 2020. So, to pick up from where we left off, after months of reflecting, I made the difficult decision to pursue a new opportunity where I was promised a much quicker sign off.
Fast forward to April 1st 2021, I received my qualification. At first, I couldn’t help but wonder how something so straightforward had taken so long? But soon after, I felt a sense of relief. While the journey took much longer than I expected, it had finally come to an end.
In an ironic twist of events, the certificate was dated April 1st… yes April Fool’s Day!

Now as I reflect on this journey, I’m proud to say that although it was painful at times, it made me grow in so many ways. Not just as a pastry chef but as a woman. I became more resilient, learned the importance of self-advocacy and discovered how to stand firm in my boundaries.
Though the journey wasn’t easy, I completed it with a deeper understanding of my strengths. So, if you’re on a journey that’s been tougher than you expected, remember that on the other side of all the setbacks there is still hope.
Praise be to Jesus, I made it and I’m a qualified pastry chef!
What’s a recent accomplishment or milestone you’ve achieved, no matter how big, small, long or challenging? I’d love to hear your stories!
Many Blessings, Grace. Xx
