Hollywood, a name that often brings movies, fame and red carpets to mind. But for me LA is more than just a bucket list city, it’s a place to spend time with my family whilst exploring their favourite places to eat, be entertained or simply just go for a walk, as LA is their home.
So, here I thought I’d share a snapshot of some of my outings. All thanks to my cousins, uncles and aunts who took this very tired girl on many unforgettable trips.
🎬 Warner Bros. Studio Tour: A Dream Come True
Since my cousin works at Warner Bros. Studio, I was fortunate enough to get a personal behind the scenes tour. I was absolutely in awe of the sheer number of props they had on display, it was insane! Though I still haven’t watched most of the Friends series, I got to see the iconic set where it was made as seen below.

⭐ Stars on the Walk of Fame
Another highlight was visiting the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where I got to see the stars commemorating actors, musicians and filmmakers who have had a significant impact on the entertainment industry. The first several stars I saw were all Australian entertainers which was pretty cool too.

🥐 A Sweet Beginning at Porto’s Bakery
I had never heard of Porto’s Bakery before but quickly learned it’s not just a local favourite, it’s popular nationwide. As I travelled from city to city and state to state, I noticed people caring bags of Porto’s goodies with them, which my aunt did warn me would happen. This bakery is a dream for food lovers and although the line was long, there were plenty of staff so it moved quickly.

🎥 Movies with My Cousins
Since Hollywood is known for making movies, I was eager to catch a film in one of the iconic theatres. I’m grateful that one of my cousins took me to the big screen, where we enjoyed a new movie and lots of snacks. Also, I had no idea why he was wanting a picture of me standing here but now I know. 😂

📚 The Famous Library with the Book Arch
I hadn’t even heard of this library before coming to LA but my cousin, knowing how much I loved books, decided to take me here. It’s such an artsy spot in the city. The architecture and history behind the place are so beautiful too.

I’m incredibly grateful for my time here and am excited to go back in the future to revisit some of these places and explore new ones too.
I’d love to hear your favourite LA memory or bucket list dream, leave me a comment below!
Many Blessings, Grace. Xx
